Another fun play performed at church last month. We performed Spritual Gifts [mp3] on September 25, 2005. I’m sorry that the first 25 seconds got cut off, so you’re coming into the sketch after Joe has already said hi to Laura.
Most of the drama that we perform in church is not allowed to be videotaped, or audio-recorded. But some of it can be. Many thanks goes out to Bob Snook, for the great scripts he makes available on his web site. We performed Support [mp3] on August 28, 2005.
We saw Neil Simon’s Broadway Bound performed by the Little Theater of Alexandria. It was good. The acting was a little uneven (only 6 characters in the entire show), but we had a good time. At one point, I had a thought that the main character shared in a later monologue.
I wasn’t expecting too much of this show since all I remembered was the cartoon movie from Disney. But it was really good. I love seeing the expressions that the actors can share.
