Last night my wife and I traveled to the Riverside Dinner Theater near Fredericksburg, VA to see Scrooge, the Musical. It was an excellent show. The acting, costumes, lighting effects, singing and music were great. The use of the stage set was very well done, with only one entrance on each side, and a raised platform three steps up from the main stage (with two side entrances to it). Set changes were handled without distracting from the action. All in all, a wonderful performance.

Removed MacMerc from my Feedreader
I just removed MacMerc from NetNewsWire, the program I use to read RSS (newsfeeds) from several dozen web sites a few times a day. MacMerc sometime recently started putting an advertising image at the bottom of each article. This has the same effect as a web bug (aka web beacon). Regardless, it’s quite annoying, so I simply won’t read that newsfeed anymore.

Radio.PlanetMike.com launched!
This weekend my wife and I launched an Internet Radio Station. We’re playing Christmas music right now. It seems to work with RealPlayer on Windows, and iTunes on the Mac. Give us a listen. Christmas Music 24/7. Shortly we’ll be on live for a while in the evenings. (Updated link on 2013-07-07)
Anything Goes
Last week my wife and I saw “Anything Goes” at the Lazy Susan Dinner Theater. The show itself was very enjoyable, one of the best ones we’ve seen at the Lazy Susan. You could actually hear and understand most of the dialogue, the singing was pretty good, and the dance numbers were very well done.
I’m really getting sick of their buffet. I am finding the food a bit greasy, and have lost my appetite for it. I doubt that we will get season tickets next year. Maybe they should offer ticket prices without the meal. Of course, the Lazy Susan is a dinner theater, so I don’t see them offering a mealless ticket.
